Although many of the rain forests are protected, corruption in the country give away to deforestation, and loss of habitat. With many cases local authorities themselves abet the illegal operations. There is very poor monitoring by the government officials on the illegal actions of cutting trees, taking place. Let us hope that the rain forests of kerala remain as preserved and protected as it is meant to be, and that we and the progeny of humanity itself get to enjoy it's beauty and benefits.
